On 11-12 November, 2020, DUAL Ports and Port of Hvide Sande will host the Sustainable Energy-workshop and following partnership meeting.
The workshop includes a tour to Vestas Nacelle andHvide Sande District Heating as well as presentations from Blue World Technologies and Atlantic Sapphire. The Interreg North Sea Region Secretariat in Viborg will also attend and share new information with us.

DUAL Ports will attend Breakbulk Europe, an industry-leading event that connects organizations in the transport and logistics of project cargo with enginerring, procurement and construction companies among others.
The world’s largest event for the project cargo and breakbulk industry has set a new date due to COVID-19. In September, DUAL Ports along with the Port of Vordingborg and other partners will travel to Bremen in Germany to attend Breakbulk Europe.
The fair Brakbulk Europe gives an opportunity to enhance the knowledge of circular economy and green technology at ports in a huge network whilst showing other professionals the exciting DUAL Ports projects that are in progress.
The conference and networking hub will welcome more than 600 exhibitors, 9,600 visitors and 400 cargo owners – the industry professionals include ports and terminals, cargo owners, freight forwarders, equipment companies among others.
DUAL Ports and the Port of Vordingborg have booked a stand to be exhibitors. We hope to see you for two exciting days of networking, business transactions and lead generation with industry professionals and key decision makers from around the world!

Tuesday, 29th of October 2019, Niedersachsen Ports and Groningen Seaports will host a workshop on Sediment Management in Ports. The workshop will take place at Groningen Seaports, Eemshaven (Netherlands).
Ports are important hubs for international freight distribution, they keep local economy turning and create direct or indirect job opportunities. In order to remain functional, accessible and efficient, a sediment management is an essential requirement in port maintenance.
The process of maintaining the depth of ports and waterways to make them navigable and safe for shipping is connected to a couple of challenges. What influence will future sediment movements have on ports? How can contaminated sediments be handled? How can the influence on the environment be reduced?
This workshop will focus on the challenges ports are facing in water depth preservation, the impacts of dredging activities on the environment and on more sustainable solutions. This venue will give some international good practices on effective and sustainable sediment management and will illustrate some running cooperation projects with a an added value for the regions and the ecosystem.
The workshop is organized with the INTERREG Projects DUAL Ports by Niedersachsen Ports together with Groningen Sea Ports.

About the conference:
“The second edition of the international Sea Tech conference devoted to the maritime and logistic industry is ahead of us. It is part of the Intelligent Specialization of Pomerania ISP 1 – Offshore and Port-logistics technology.

DUAL Ports, The Port of Vordingborg and the Danish Ports Association are pleased to invite you to a seminar on sustainable port development and EU funding on May 16, 2019.
The day will start with a guided tour of the Port of Vordingborg – later on the seminar will be held in beautiful surroundings near the water.
Representatives of the Port of Vordingborg and the DUAL Ports project will give you an insight into the local port expansion and how EU funding and local legislators have helped further sustainable development at the port.

How can transnational cooperation in the North Sea Region contribute to overall climate goals?
DUAL Ports will be participating in a joint event organized by the North Sea Commission (NSC) thematic groups for Energy & Climate Change (ECCG) and Transport (TG).
Business Development Manager and Lead Beneficiary representative Wim Stubbe from the Port of Oostende will present the DUAL Ports project at the North Sea Region Seminar, on February 28, 2019.
The seminar will aim to discuss how transnational cooperation can contribute to the overall climate goals, and will adress the policy frameworks on energy & climate and alternative fuels for transport, and bring input to the energy and transport issues in NSCs new strategy – NSR 2027.
